Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations

Inviting vendors to collaborate directly At Dynamics 365 for Operations enhances the vendor's visibility of buy orders and ensures a shared view on responses to buy orders. This lessens the miscommunication and mistakes that could occur when the PO is exchanged by email or facsimile.

The functionality for collaborating with Vendors was expanded in this release. Topical vendors are now able to react to individual order lines and indicate modifications, such as new dates, quantities, divide a line in new delivery dates, or substitute a product with a new item.

The Purchase order verification Workspace enables vendors to see which POs they need to react to, which POs are awaiting confirmation by the customer, and then POs are confirmed but not yet processed together with product receipt.

Vendors can suggest changes on lines and Exchange documents.

Customers can share documents and notes which are related to purchase orders with vendors, as an example, to clarify requirements. When a vendor responds to a PO, then there are different messages that are displayed whenever they Accept, Reject, or Accept with changes. These messages may be customized to better support the business procedures of the purchasing company.

A new external vendor administrator Security function enables vendors to add new contacts and upgrade information about to ask new seller alliance users.

Users with that role can also request that particular vendor user accounts are inactivated, or that security roles are altered. The same operation is available for users in the customer business.

Vendors can monitor the consumption of Consignment inventory to observe when the client takes ownership of inventory. Of the stock that the client has not yet taken possession of. The Purchase Orders swallowing consignment inventory page shows a listing of the buy orders that were created when a transfer of possession occurred.
